Against the largely Veitch-invented gas-lit backdrop of Indigo City, our Greyshirt presented the opportunity for spontaneous and often improvised fantasy-dramas or comedies, for self-contained set-pieces often revolving around some experimental storytelling notion in the hope of at least trying to be as inventive in terms of the medium as Will Eisner’s Spirit had been forty or fifty years before.
